It is later that it will be used throughout the rest of Asia and in Europe, mainly by the Roman Empire with the creation of the brass sestertius. In Europe a few pieces have been found, such as the wild boar sign from Soulac-sur-Mer, a Gallic artifact from the1st century BC. It has been used in Europe since the Middle Ages for multiple uses.
